Here's a little info about the stories in the Box Set (coming in March from Ghostwriter Publications):
SENTINELS OF THE SEA is a new historical horror fiction book incorporating three stories that follow the adventures of Captain thomas Butler and his crew aboard the HMS Swift.
Described by the publisher as “The style of Alexander Kent meets the dark world...” the stories are set against the historical backdrop of the fragile peace that existed between the American Revolution, the looming French Revolution and the threat of Napoleon's growing empire.. Join the crew of the HMS Swift as they face the walking dead in "The Diabolical Plan" and vampires in "The Island".
Praise for THE DIABOLICAL PLAN which was first published in THE UNDEAD Anthology (Permuted Press 2005).
“The Diabolical Plan is just a brilliant story!”
12th issue of THE HORROR FICTION REVIEW, released -21-06 by Novello Publishers
"The Diabolical Plan, by Derek Gunn, delighted me with its convincingly written Aubrey/Hornblower-style high seas adventure style, detailing a diabolical plan in which the living dead will become a weapon of war between the English and French." The Harrow: Original Works of Fantasy and Horror, Vol 8, No 9 (2005)
I have also written the first HMS Swift novel about an evil that has laid dormant for years that now threatens to engulf the whole world. It’s called PIRATES and maybe one day, it will see the light of day also...
